The Boy!

It had been a very long time since we had a baby in the family, so of course this one is very, very special. He entertains us beyond imagination! He turned one this month, oh my how time does fly! Sometimes it is sad how quickly time flies by and how much we miss or neglect each day.

The old saying is to 'stop and smell the roses' and now that I'm retired I understand that a bit better. We can get so consumed by our responsibilities, especially at work, that we forget to enjoy all the Lord has provided for us.

It's the theme of the day you know.....'stress rules'. I'm thankful for this boy who brings us such joy, thankful for this new season to have the time and the mindset to look around and enjoy the bounty of the Lord.
